ABOUT

Bryony Ella is an interdisciplinary artist working in the liminal space between science, spirituality and social justice.

She paints in the studio, ‘wild draws’ in nature, writes about embodied ecology and collaborates with academics to create public realm art installations.

Through research, residencies and interdisciplinary collaborations, Bryony brings different cosmologies together in the search for expansive understandings of belonging, community and kinship that take us beyond human-defined borders and binaries. Her work celebrates the human body as an experience that is porous, organic and intimately connected to all living systems, blurring boundaries as an expression of the impossibility of not belonging in (or to) the natural world.
